As a PhD student and mom, I missed so many little moments because of lab work, deadlines, and trying to survive grad school. Today, I finally made it to my kiddos’ spring concert. At first, my son kept looking around while singing, trying to find familiar faces in the crowd. Then suddenly, he spotted me 🥹 He waved so proudly and told his friend, “That’s my mom.” After that, he sang with the biggest smile.
